A recently completely remodeled apartment, spacious, modern and designed with style. With capacity for 2-5 persons. Located in the heart of the Eixample, the modernist area of Barcelona.
Totally equipped, down to the last detail. The kitchen has all the necessary articles for feeling right at home: dishware, tableware, cooking utensils, coffee maker, juicer, refrigerator, gas burners, regular oven, microwave oven, toaster, etc.
For an agreeable stay, the apartment offers television, DVD, musical equipment, washer, hair dryer, iron, towels, sheets, eiderdown quilts and Nordic covers.
The "Modern Barcelona" apartment features an excellent spatial distribution, optimal for groups of friends and families. A main bedroom with double bed, a second bedroom with two single beds, a third bedroom with single bed, full bathroom, dining room and separate kitchen.
It is located in the modernist area of Barcelona, El Eixample, an extension of the city planned by Ildefons Cerdà and begun in 1860, and one of the world’s most unusual urban spaces. The personality of Barcelona is rooted in good measure from the unique design of this neighborhood.
El Eixample is concentrated in a relatively small sector, articulated around the central axis of the Paseo de Gràcia. The privileged zone of the Quadrat d'Or (Golden Quadrilateral) is delimited by Aribau Street and the Paseo de Sant Joan, the Rondes and the Diagonal Avenue.
The consolidation of the Quadrat d'Or as the center of the Barcelona bourgeoisie, which occurred during the last decade of the 19th century and the first decade of the 20th, coincided with the spread of Modernism. An attentive stroll through the area allows a good look at the immense quantity of architectural riches, which are the result of the relocation of bourgeois homes from the old city to the center of El Eixample around 1900.
Modernistic architecture is also found in other areas of the city.
